The
Art
Gallery
giving local artists a chance to shine
For one night we are turning an empty warehouse on the west side of Charleston into a concert hall and we are doing it ...
Art Gallery/ Coffee
House style
The valley is full of
undiscovered artists, photographers, and sculptors, that are just waiting for
the chance
to have their work shown
We are giving artists this chance
Marianne Peyton
who holds a BFA from WVU
in West Virginia Art History will be on site to assist artists. She will also be
on hand to answer any questions about the vision that we all share.
"The
Vision"
Our special guest for the evening, Michael Knott, is also an artist and will be bringing some of his own work to display
If you fit into the above description and would like more details on how you can be a part of this momentous occasion than please read on...
I am very excited that you have chosen to summit your work into the debut of our art gallery on March 3rd.
There will be public service announcements that will be ran in the local media.
This should give you, the artists, a opportunity to shine. I only ask that you e-mail me with the number of pieces that you plan on displaying and a brief description of each (please, no nudity).
Also, since this is an empty warehouse it will be the artist responsibility to display their own work in a creative fashion. There are no hooks or nails or clamps, you must provide your own means of displaying your work. Also, this should make it more fun and interesting for the visitors.
As you may know, Michael Knott, from Huntington Beach, Ca., will be playing this night. The concert should also bring in the crowd. Having your work displayed is free, however, we must ask that everyone pay a $5 donation at the door to cover Michael Knotts expenses.
Again, I thank you for you participation and I look forward to seeing your works.
