The skill and originality of the artists who are living and

working in our region is a source of great pride for all of

us, as artists of all kinds have long flourished in this area.

As always, we welcome the opportunity to view and enjoy

the works of new local artists, as well as to experience the

talents of visiting artists such as Michael Knott.

Previously, the only opportunities that our local artists

have had to present their art to the public have been limited

to more traditional art exhibits that are held in more

mainstream art environments. Venues such as "Giving Local

Artists A Chance to Shine" help make art a more accessible

part of our lives, in addition to helping give creative artists

a living and vital function in our community.

The recent works of the numerous artists in this exhibit

reflect both their dedication to personal expression and

creativity, as well as their ability to provide a meaningful

and stimulating experience for all of us. We hope that this

exhibition will further encourage artistic expression in our

community as well as enhance our local artists’ ability to

communicate to a wider audience.
