Behind the Scene Stories from the Promise Keepers Dream Team click here

Story from WV Promise Keepers:  Phil Ruggerio from CMS, Inc. attended both days.  CMS is Correctional Medical Services, Inc. out of St. Louis, MO and they are one of the largest, if not the largest private provider of medical services to prisons and jails in the USA.  Phil is CMS’s Regional Administrator for West Virginia.

I ran into Phil three times during the conference.  During the Saturday lunch break I ran into him out on the front sidewalk as Bill Haines and I were talking.  Phil related to us that he was supposed to serve as an EV volunteer for the altar call Friday night.  As Joe White was leading up to the altar call Phil’s cell phone went off.  He went out to answer it.  The call was from the Assistant Director of Nursing at Mt. Olive; she informed Phil she had an employee in a major crisis.  She is new to her position and her boss, the Director of Nursing, couldn’t be reached.  Phil told her he would be there as soon as he could and headed for the Civic Center parking garage.  Phil shared with us that he was disappointed and angry because he was really looking forward to being part of the altar call.  He was almost to his car and was reaching for his keys when he saw a man bent over the hood of the car next to his.  He went over and asked the man if there was a problem and found him sobbing in tears.  He told Phil he just came out of the Promise Keepers arena – he couldn’t do it – he couldn’t face up to who he was and be humble enough to ask Jesus to be his Lord and Savior.  Phil asked him if he could pray with him and the guy said yes.  During their prayer together the man accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  It gets better…………………. cont.

Thank you

Just a quick note to say "thank you" for your prayers on behalf of the Promise Keepers rally here in Charleston.  God moved in a mighty way, and we could feel the prayers going up for us.

In fact, this is what made the event such a supernatural success...all the prayer that had been going up for a year or more on behalf of this meeting.

Just a very few of the many, many highlights:

.  Attendance was approximately 8,000.  Some 280 men made first-time decisions; another 700 made valid recommitments to Christ.  These are the statistics from the decision cards; surely the number was greater than this.

.  For the first time ever, the meeting was beamed live into prison venues.  The Mount Olive prison complex at Cannelton, just east of Charleston, and the St. Mary's Correctional Institution in northern West Virginia received two-way communication.  Mt. Olive has been undergoing a real revival for the past year or so, under the guidance of Chiros Ministries.

One really touching thing:  The fiber optic line to Mt. Olive cost $4,000.  Shortly before the meeting, $2,000 still needed to be raised.  The Christian inmates worked with pastor Danny Cunningham of Charleston, with pastor Danny bringing in a load of steak and cooking it.  The Christian inmates then sponsored a steak dinner for the other inmates, and raised the remaining $2,000.  As a result, 200 inmates at Mt. Olive were made part of the conference, even to having some of the speakers go and visit them and also furnishing them with the same lunch that the conferees received, but even greater is the 80 new souls won into the Kingdom from Mt Olive.

.  Also, through the efforts of Chuck Kinder and a military official -Jim Smith (from WV), the meeting was beamed live for the first time to Iraq and Afghanistan to our troops there.  We have received reports of a powerful move of the Spirit among them as well.

.  Sherry, Eric, and I really were blessed by the volunteer work that we were privileged to do.  God is at work through Promise Keepers.  It is the real deal.

.  One footnote:  the NOW ladies that I spoke of in my first message showed up again on Saturday morning.  There were eight of them.  Just as they began to picket, a cloud much bigger than a man's hand appeared in the heavens and drenched the area with a minicloudburst.  You can reach your own conclusion about that.

.  Thanks again to those who prayed, and those who helped furnish scholarships for young African-American men from Charleston who otherwise would not have been able to attend.  May your reward be great in heaven.

Thanks so much for your participation in prayer.  Send me your praise reports and prayer requests and I will pass them on.  In Jesus' Love, Kay Lowther

Jgeneration (15yrs - 35 yrs):  Next Young City Leaders...  August Picnic (pics) meet & serve with your new best friends- host: Amber Thaxton and Horrasias (21) from Uganda, Africa -his personal story will astound you of faith, power, & miracles.  His Father carried an anointing that sparked numerous revivals in both Uganda and the States.  The anointing was so strong that 350 cases of AIDS were instantaneously healed as well as numerous other miracles were performed. Witch Doctors had to summit to the power of God on this man's life. Horrasias' father was killed in an auto accident in Kampala, Uganda in 1995.  It has been prophesied that his father's anointing now rest on Horrasias. We have seen this seed beginning to grow and bear fruit. It is amazing to watch this flourish before our very eyes.

America For Jesus Rally

Washington, D.C.

October 22, 2004

We came before dawn Friday morning at the Capital Mall--a park located at the center of Washington, D.C. … Susan Alkire, Cindy Skinner, and myself. The weather was supposed to be mild. In the low 70's with a partly cloudy sky. We went by car to Clarksburg, W.V around midnight to join others approximately 30 others on a bus headed for a divine appointment with God. Not a long journey when you consider some came from California by motorcycle. (An eight day trip.)

As soon as we arrived at 5:30 that morning the temperature began to drop very quickly...but he colder it got, the more people came. The more we praised. The more we prayed. People bundled up in coats and toboggans. They leaped and clapped with their mittens and gloves. Mufflers flying. They were all ages. All sizes. All shapes and colors. Representing the diversity in culture that graces our nation. Yet they were of one mind and one accord. Thousands. They prayed on their knees on that cold damp ground. Not caring about anything but the purpose of this gathering. This would continue until long after the sun had set.

For two hours before dawn we played music unto God and prayed for our nation. As the sun came up we leaped for joy at the hope rising up inside of us. It was time. Time to come before our God and humbly repent and pray for restoration. Television crews from Daystar and INSP worked continuously throughout the day and long into the night to send this message to the rest of the world. The message is this--WE ARE STILL ONE NATION UNDER GOD.

Christian men and women from all over the country came and prayed to God for specific needs for our land. Ministers including Rod Parsley and Ben Kinchloe, leaders, praise teams, and prayer warriors. They prayed in English. They prayed in Arabic, Spanish, Latin, Korean, German, on and on. Praying blessings upon this country for the light it has been for the entire world. We thanked God for those blessings, and asked forgiveness for the sin and immorality in our land. We prayed for Israel. We prayed for our soldiers in the military, and for peace and prosperity to be restored. We prayed for wise Godly leadership in our government. As we poured out our hearts to God , He poured out His Spirit in a special way.

The awesome presence of God was everywhere. Contemporary praise and worship bands such as Third Day and Desperation led us into a glorious time of celebration for our future. The woman who was responsible for intiating the Roe vs. Wade hearing was there to openly repent before God and the Body of Christ for her part in the abortion hearing. Though can not bring back the 42 million babies who have been murdered by abortion since that ruling, there were blankets with rows and rows of little baby shoes lined up to represent their silent cries. Thousands prayed in repentance for OUR part in allowing this to happen as well.

The Ten Commandments plaque that was removed from the courthouse in Alabama by the Supreme Court ruling was present. We pray it can be placed back where it belongs . It was there to remind us that we must stand against the assault of our Christian freedom. The insanity must stop. We must ask our Lord to become sovereign in our country once more.

We prayed for unity. We gathered in groups and circles. Holding hands and praying as one Body. There were parents and grandparents bringing children. Elderly and handicapped. There were young men and women full of the fire of the Holy Spirit. We sat by several from a church who came from the New York Bronx. One lady nearby laid on a blanket on the ground part of the time so she could just be there. At times she would sit up and lift her hands toward heaven praying. She wore an afghan with the names of God all over it across her shoulders to keep her warm. Later, she was able to stand and praise, being strengthened by the Lord who had drawn her there.

The gaze of our Heavenly Father was upon us. His eyes saw every tear. His ears heard every word Despite the weather we were determined to stay and pray until every problem, every need, every concern, and especially every sin was covered by the precious blood of Jesus.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, do not allow your faith to waver. He is listening. He sees our hearts. He has our answers. Press in. Prayer is the key. We must not stop.

God bless America and HEAL OUR LAND, In Jesus Name, Amen.

Laborers of the Vineyard,

James and Debby Dunn

New River/Greenbrier Valley - History of this region

Attached you will find a flyer (click here) for the Celebration. It is at 10:30 AM in White Sulphur Springs, WV. Parade lineup starts at 9 AM on Ingleside Ave. (next to the Stop In gas station). A time of praise and worship will follow the parade at the PH Church on Ingleside Ave.

Now, how this all got started..............................Unity of the churches in Greenbrier county and in WV has been a vision that God placed in my heart quite some time ago. A few years ago God gave our Lewisburg Aglow Chapter a vision. I saw (in my spirit) many people going down the street praising and worshiping. I saw  a processional of dancers, musicians, shofar blowers and men dressed in priestly garments carrying a Ark.

After that we (our Aglow chapter) decided to host a breakfast for the pastors/leaders in Greenbrier County. We sent out over 100 invitations, 17 people came. At that breakfast we gave a presentation of "What is Aglow to the people that came. Many had never heard of Aglow. We also presented the vision. Three pastors agreed to join us in organizing a parade and celebration afterwards. We had originally wanted to do a "March for Jesus" along with the national March but the timing was all off and so we prayed and God gave us "Jesus Celebration" as a title and a picture of what it was to be.

That was in 2002. We had the celebration in Lewisburg. Last year we had it in Alderson. It turned out that the day we picked to have it just happened to be Rosh Hashanah and later we found out that the same time there was a "Pagan Pride Day" event going on at the other side of the county in Greenbrier Forest. So while we were celebrating Jesus and Life.........................the witches were gathering to do whatever it is they do at that sort of event.

This year we are having it in White Sulphur Springs. We feel that God wanted us to prophetically carry the Ark of His Presence in different towns in the county, that is why we have been moving every year. Will there be a celebration next year? I'm not sure at this point, but God knows and I am sure he will let us know the if, when and how of it all.

Of course lots of prayer and prayer walking have gone into this..............please pray that the eyes and heart of the church are opened and people come out to participate in the parade and time of worship. The word for this years parade is........................"This is not entertainment, this is a testimony your love for the Lord and a testimony to the community of the unity in the body of Christ. It is about worship, not about entertaining the people." God wants His church to come together to worship Him. When we do this, the prince of the power of the air flees. We want open heavens over Greenbrier county and over our state. We want to put darkness to flight and fill the county/state with the light of the Lord. We want to see people transformed by His love.

Well that is what this is about and how it got started. Please come and join us. You don't have to do anything special, just show up and go through the parade as a testimony. If you want you can bring banners, flags, music or whatever the Lord shows you to do. I think that I still need folks to carry banners. (I have the banners).

If you would like to help carry banners please call 304-445-2154 or e-mail me at dlehr@wv-cis.net.

Thank You and May God Richly Bless
